About me

So this is probably where I have to write something about myself.

I love shooting weddings…actually I love making images of people. It’s the interaction that I probably love the most and then seeing the look on their faces when they see their images for the first time. It’s such a rewarding experience.

To be honest though I would never in a million years have thought that I would like to make a career out of portrait photography. Whilst studying photography at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology I was almost sure that I was going to enter the world of food and architectural photography. How wrong was I?

I started working at a few portrait studios over the world and before I knew it I fell in love with capturing people…when they smile…when they’re shy…when they don’t expect it…to give them a printed image of themselves and them not believing that it’s them. I try and capture all my subjects differently. I believe that we’re all unique with our own little mannerisms that makes us…well, us! That’s what I try to bring out in my photography.

This blog is a new extension to my website and is going to be a work in progress. Like almost all things online, it’s going to develop and evolve into it’s own little being…come with me, enjoy the ride!
