Every year the people of Tulbagh celebrate Christmas…actually they celebrate Christmas twice. Once in December and then again in winter. The best part is that they invite us all to come along and celebrate with them! If you don’t know where Tulbagh is, or haven’t been to their mid-year Christmas celebration, get a map, mark off the weekend for next year and head over there!
Even though it wasn’t that cold over the weekend and the sun was shining there was still a lot of Christmas vibe and loads of Glühwein!

What an amazing Saturday afternoon with Gerrit and Angela! I’m shooting their wedding in December 2010 and they wanted to do an engagement shoot to have images to use on their wedding website (yep, they’ve ditched the invites and have gone green! It’s all about saving trees!) and they also wanted to get used to me and have a good idea of what to expect on their wedding day.
We met up in Muizenberg and took the train through to Simon’s Town. From there we went to Boulder’s Beach all the way taking photos! Even though there weren’t many penguins out on the beach during their shoot, we did spot a few and had great fun climbing over the rocks (and jumping off them as well!)
You guys were awesome! It was just moment after moment of picture perfect awesomeness! Can’t wait to shoot your wedding!
